Music for a contemporary audience by contemporary composers, through a contemporary scope, for contemporary art.

Sonopotentia is a performative sound sculpture. Two pianos were torn apart and their string assemblies were converted into speaker/resonator cabinets. The two microphones the performer is using are connected to these pianos creating a feedback loop influenced by the room’s architectural qualities. The room then by extension becomes an instrument the performer plays by moving the microphones within the space. The piece was staged in a make-shift bar and the audaudience was served a whisky made from the wood that was reclaimed when the pianos were dismantled.

The cocktail can be sampled at our studio space. Mail us for further information.
